Stress is the trash of modern life- we generate it but if you don’t dispose of it properly, it will pile up and over take your life.
-Danzae Pace
This quote by Danzae Pace is telling us how dangerous stress is. He compares unmanaged stress, to unmanaged garbage. There is good stress and bad stress, unfortunately, bad stress is the most common type of stress most people experience.
Bad stress is also the most dangerous and most damaging stress, when left unmanaged it can develop into physical illnesses and mental illnesses. Many times, when we become stressed, we either push it to the side until we have time to handle it, or we just ignore it.
Ignoring stress is never good; ignoring stress doesn’t make it go away, it will remain with you and every time you have an issue or another stressful situation, it will pile up. If we do not learn how to cope or reduce our stress it can grow and evolve into more serious health issues over time, it may even cause death.
Learning how to manage stress is not only an important skill, but it is self-care. How can you help or care for others, if you cannot even help and properly care for your self? Learn to dispose of your bad stress, learn to manage stress; so, you can enjoy the good stress.
